Overseas students who do not arrive at College to complete their enrolment and commence their classes in time for the start of their course once they have been granted a UK Student visa must inform the College in advance of their situation and acquire an appropriate extension on the start of their course. Late students who do not fulfil these requirements will be deemed to have absented themselves from their classes and may be expelled from the College, in accordance with the College’s regulations on non-arrival.
Few tips to help yourself:
Don’t Skip lectures.
Be prepared for the next week lecture and revise the last week’s lecture.
Remember that it’s your responsibility to turn up on time for examinations and to meet deadlines for handing in coursework in order to avoid losing marks.
Ensure that all work you submit is 100% your own
Please try to arrive on time for classes, as even the most experienced lecturers (and their students) find it distracting to have people coming in late.
Monitor yourself weekly, check how you are performing, needed contact the tutor.
Tell us if you are worried about your studies.
It's worth finding out which of your fellow class-members have accommodation near yours, so that you can help each other with work in the evenings and re-examine its effectiveness after the first week or so.
With your classes laid in stone, make a daily, weekly and monthly schedule. Your ability to adhere to a schedule and motivate yourself to drop what you’re doing for the sake of study time may well determine your success at college and will certainly help you control stress.
Schedule certain times of the day to study, you will get into a routine and accomplish more.
Once every two or three study sessions, simply review older material that you still need to remember.
